BRISTOL, R.I. -- Roger Williams University extended its winning streak to 10 matches with a 7-0 result versus the University of New England in Conference of New England (CNE) women's tennis action on Saturday (Oct. 4).
The Hawks (10-0) now stand at 5-0 in the CNE, while the Nor'easters are set back to 8-2 overall and 3-2 in league outings.
The doubles point was already decided with
Madeline Frank and
Nora Hill finished off a 6-3 win for UNE at #1 doubles, but that was the only match that didn't go for the home team.
Andie Lamontagne claimed a total of six games in defeat at #3 singles (2-6, 4-6). Frank at #1 and
Sofia Salcedo Ladaga at #4 were close during their opening sets (4-6), as well.
UNE returns home to face Thomas College on Tuesday (3 p.m.).
