NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Colby-Sawyer College picked up its fifth straight win by taking a 7-0 decision against the University of New England in Conference of New England (CNE) women's tennis action on Friday (Oct. 10) at the Kelsey Courts.
The Chargers (6-1, 6-1 CNE) are in their first year as an associate member of the league, one season removed from claiming the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) title and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
The Nor'easters (9-3, 3-3) were a bit shorthanded in their lineup, resulting in everyone available shifting up a spot or two.
Nora Hill and
Andie Lamontagne at #1 doubles got the lone game of that round for the visitors, while
Zoe Lambke later captured a team-best four games at #4 singles.
UNE returns home to face Endicott College on Tuesday (3 p.m.).
