BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England women's volleyball team registered a season-best .308 attack percentage and dropped in 15 aces on the way to a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-22, 25-11) versus Husson University in the home-opener on Tuesday night (Sep. 17) at Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum. The Nor'easters (9-0) entered the week as one of 16 Division III squads still undefeated in 2024.

UNE's best start to a year in known program records has featured eight sweeps, largely aided by the second-most service winners per set (4.08) in the country. Addie Miller led the way with five aces on Tuesday, and Chloe Miracle added four.

Ellijah Hanley paced a balanced attack with 10 kills and a .318 efficiency, while Viktoria Pavlyuk contributed eight and Kailyn Reilly smashed down seven. Reilly's hitting rate wrapped up at .538 on the night.

Kassidy Bradshaw supplied 28 assists for the offense and collected eight digs on the back side. Hanley and Miller tallied 12 and 11 digs, respectively, and Kelsey Bradshaw chipped in another seven defensive saves.

From 10-all in the 1st frame, the Nor'easters rattled off 11 of the next 12 points to seize control. Miracle and Miller accounted for five aces in the stretch, while Pavlyuk drilled a pair of kills and Ka.Bradshaw registered one of her four in the match.

Things were much closer in the 2nd, with UNE briefly gaining a five-point cushion in the middle. The hosts needed three of the last four to narrowly claim it, though -- after a kill from Hannah Nowell and an ace by Miracle, Ka.Bradshaw notched the team's lone solo block to end the set.

The Nor'easters led for the entirety of the 3rd stanza. Hanley and Reilly posted half of the team's 14 kills in the period.

For the Eagles (2-7), Mikayla Gray, Janna Preskorn, and Alexa Beal had five kills, and Alyvia McIntyre totaled 13 assists. Beatrice Tursi shared the match-high with 12 digs.

Next, UNE welcomes in Benedictine University from Illinois on Friday (6 p.m.).
