STANDISH, Maine -- Trailing by three runs after the 1st inning, the University of New England softball team stormed back for a 13-4 victory (6 innings) over Saint Joseph's College in the nightcap of a doubleheader on Wednesday evening (Apr. 24) at Bailey Field. The Monk had taken the opener by a 10-5 margin.

Emma Michaud had a high of four hits on the day for the Nor'easters (9-23), while three more and three runs batted in came from Grace Tutt. Emma Koenig scored four times over the course of the twinbill, which led all players.

For the Monks (14-15), Paige Connery put up three hits in the first contest, and Sadie Tirrell had three in the second.
