KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Ohio Northern University defeated the University of New England, 8-0 (5 innings), in softball action Friday (Mar. 15) at The Spring Games.

The Polar Bears (6-3) scored three in the 1st inning, two in the 4th, and three in the 5th. Callie Rosser had a team-high three hits, including a double and triple, two runs scored, and two RBI. Shelby Marstellar faced 19 batters in the shutout.

For the Nor'easters (2-7), Jaiden McKenna and Abigail Prokey registered the only hits off of Marstellar. UNE pitchers were tagged for just three earned runs in the setback.
