Adrian Torres registered a double-double with 21 points and 10 steals to lead the University of New England Nor'easters to an 89-80 men's basketball victory over the University of Hartford on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 17) at Chase Arena.

Torres piled up nine of his steals before halftime, as the Nor'easters took a 46-40 advantage into intermission. UNE made 21 of 36 (55.3 percent) of their field goal attempts in the opening frame to help forge their lead.
UNE continued its hot shooting in final 20 minutes, canning 6 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc while shooting 55.3 percent (16 for 30) on all of its attempts.
The Nor'easters led the entire second half with their lead cresting at 14 (65-51) with 12:42 remaining. UHart rattled off eight unanswered points to get within six at 65-59, but UNE responded with a 13-5 run to regain control (78-64). Pyzynski tallied five points during the spurt.
