The Nor'easters (6-17, 1-14 CCC) picked up their first conference win after coming up just short a number of times. Roger Williams (11-12, 8-6) came into the contest in a tie for third place in the CCC standings.

Lux's double-double was his seventh of the season. He was 9 of 13 from the floor and 9 of 11 from the free throw line.

UNE received a strong all-around performance from Jack Pyzynski, who contributed 22 rebounds, nine boards, four assists and four steals. Jayden Thornton came off the bench to score 10 points.

Roger Williams received a team-high 22 points from Mac Annus. Finn Miller scored 13 to go with 10 rebounds, and Will MacDonald tallied 10 points and eight caroms off the bench.

Although the contest with tight throughout, the Nor'easters led for all but 1:18 of the game. After UNE scored the opening six points, the Hawks responded with a 10-2 run to grab their only lead of the contest. Pyzynksi hit back-to-back buckets to put the Nor'easters back on top at the 15:03 mark, and UNE would never trail again.

The hosts took a 48-42 cushion into intermission after shooting 48.6 percent (17 of 35) over the opening 20 minutes.

Roger Williams hung tough the entire second frame, getting as close as one (76-75) with 5:43 remaining. Pyzynski and Derek Diaz-Pavon combined to go 6-for-6 from the charity stripe in the final 0:33 to secure the victory.
