Statistics

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Jess Burwell scored a power-play goal with 4:13 left to provide No.14 Endicott College with the edge in a 4-2 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's ice hockey result versus the University of New England at Bourque Arena on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 13).

Aurora Devereaux added an empty-net tally inside the final minute for the Gulls (10-4-2, 7-2-0 CCC).

After a pair of 1st-period scores from Lily Anderson and Rivers Morris gave Endicott a 2-0 lead for the second straight day, UNE (5-8-3, 4-3-3) cut the deficit in half midway through the 2nd on a goal by Jamie DuPont. Assists were credited to Mia LaPlante and Piper Desorcie.

An unassisted score from Keely Kasputis pulled the Nor'easters even with 5:08 remaining in the 3rd frame, but the visitors were whistled for their second penalty 26 later as EC gained the extra skater for what proved to be the deciding marker.

Casey Moritz recorded 21 saves to back the win for the hosts.

Delanie Corcoran totaled 34 stops for UNE, which visits Nichols College on Friday.
