WORCESTER, Mass. – Clark University earned a 2-0 victory over the University of New England in men's soccer action at Granger Field on Wednesday evening.
 
Carter Benoff put the Cougars (2-3-2) on the board first in the 39th minute with help from Colin Ruiz. Ruiz then scored one for himself in the 65th minute to give Clark a 2-0 lead. Luke Sheldon and Charles Lopez assisted on the goal.
 
Clark outshot UNE 28-6 overall and 7-1 on goal. Sean McCarthy made five saves for UNE (1-5-2) in the loss. Diego Marin had one stop in net for the Cougars.
 
The Nor'easters return home on Saturday for a Homecoming Weekend matchup against Nichols at Hazard Field at 3 p.m.
