BIDDEFORD, Maine –
Emily Martin and
Lizzie Frattaroli each scored for the second straight night to help the University of New England women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday at Blue Storm Stadium.
Sydney Gillingham made five saves, all in the first half, to earn her first shutout victory of the year.
The Nor'easters (2-0) pressured the Engineers early and had two quick shots on goal in the opening five minutes of play. Martin put UNE in front in the 18
th minute as
Tori Keyes found her with a feed through the defense. Martin got past the goalkeeper and easily scored her second of the season. [

Brooke Pierotti extended the lead to 2-0 in the 34
th minute as
Bella Reil connected with her on a long cross to the opposite side of the net. Lindsay Butler also assisted on the goal. [

Late in the game Keyes added her second assist of the night as she slid the ball ahead to Martin who crossed it in front to Frattaroli for the goal in the 80
th minute. [
