BRISTOL, R.I. -- Mya D'Antonio scored in the 64th minute for the lone goal of the day to give host Roger Williams University a 1-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer victory over the University of New England Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14) at Bayside Field.

D'Antonio's tally came after a scramble on a Hawks' corner kick. D'Antonio controlled the loose ball and tucked a low, left-footed shot just inside the right post for her fourth tally of the season.

The Hawks (8-6-1, 3-1-1 CCC) were victorious despite being out-shot 12-10 and trailing in corner kicks by an 8-3 margin.

Winning goalkeeper Coco Marrelli needed four saves to register the win. Sydney Gillingham came up with five stops for the Nor'easters (6-4-3, 3-2-0), who will conclude their regular-season home schedule Wednesday when they host Suffolk University at 7:00 p.m.
