NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University defeated the University of New England 1-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's soccer action at Toppa Field on Saturday afternoon.
 
Jordan Borges scored an unassisted goal for the Seahawks (5-1-2, 2-0-0 CCC) in the 12^th minute for the only point of the game.
 
The Nor'easters (0-7-2, 0-2-0 CCC) best chance of the game came off a corner kick by Alex Woodworth in the 72^nd minute as the ensuing header by Sam Higgins was blocked.
 
Overall shots were 24-1 in favor of Salve Regina. Triston O'Hagen stopped six of the seven shots he faced in goal in the loss. Nathan Reid earned the victory in net for the Seahawks.
