BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England men's soccer team and UMaine Farmington played to a 1-1 draw in non-conference action at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Nor'easters (0-4-2) got on the board first in the 49
th minute.

Luke Gould on a give-and-go in side the box. Woodworth buried it to the far-left corner for his second goal of the season to give UNE at 1-0 lead. [

A free kick off the foot of Maxon Brochu found Aric Belanger in traffic and he scored to tie the game for the Beavers (0-2-1) in the 70
th minute. Despite late chances, neither team was able to break through down the stretch.
Shot totals were fairly even with the Nor'easters holding a slim 15-13 advantage overall. UMaine Farmington had more on target at 7-3.
Sean McCarthy had six saves for UNE while Jonah Sautter stopped two for the Beavers.
The Nor'easters begin Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday at home against Roger Williams at 2:30 p.m.
