STANDISH, Maine -- Erica Dimmick won the 400m race to lead the University of New England women's track & field squad to a 5th-place showing at the Saint Joseph's College Invitational at the SJC Athletics Complex on Saturday (Apr. 16).

The Nor'easters (54 points) were behind Bates College (299), Husson University (91.5), Thomas College (73), and Endicott College (62) in the field of 14 institutions. UNE was running without four of its distance competitors, who were in action on Friday at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.

Dimmick established a program record with her 1:02.10 in the 400m, which was 0.38 better than the next fastest sprinter. She also earned points for 4th in the 800m (2:32.04).

Additionally, Dimmick factored in both relays that took 3rd place. The 4x100m group recorded the program's top time (52.72), as Sydni Lehr, Ashley Kelley, and Rachel Pion followed Dimmick. Pion, Jaylee Ireland, and Lehr started the 4x400m (4:29.37) for Dimmick to close out.

On the field side, Anna Evans tied for 2nd in the high jump with a mark of 1.47m. Sienna Matregrano was UNE's top performer in three events: 6th in the javelin (26.89m), 7th in the discus (31.18m), and 8th in the shot put (9.02m).

Pion (100m), Kailey Uresk (800m), Sophia King and Izabella Haagenson (400m hurdles), Lehr and Haagenson (triple jump), and Grace Shippee (discus) all added points to the Nor'easter point total.

UNE will visit Bowdoin College's Pine Tree Relays next Saturday.
