BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England men's lacrosse team earned an 8-2 victory over New England College on Tuesday afternoon at UNE Blue Bolt Field.
The Nor'easters jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
Kyle Kennedy scored his first of two on the day at the 12:20 mark of the period off an assist from
Ryan Hazard [
Watch]. The two connected again minutes later as Kennedy found Hazard to put UNE in front 2-0 [

Jordan White added an unassisted goal with 5:22 remaining in the quarter. He finished with three goals and an assist. Connor Smith put NEC (1-4) on the board at the 3:33 mark of the first with help from Lucas Ferreira.
Kennedy, who finished with two goals and three assists, found White for a goal to start the second quarter and extend the lead out to 4-1. He scored his second of the day late in the half off an assist by
Andrew Lawrence. Ferreira put in the second Pilgrims' goal with 2:15 to play in the second quarter.
UNE was able to keep NEC off the board in the second half.

Watch] extended the lead out to 7-2 with man-up goals in the third quarter.
Colin Watt added a score in the opening minute of the fourth quarter.
Matt Deyette had 13 saves for the Nor'easters who improve to 4-4 on the season. Michael Catalano made 15 stops for NEC.
The Nor'easter defense played well, forcing 24 turnovers and allowing the Pilgrims to convert on just 11-of-25 clear attempts.
