#22 Endicott sets back UNE, 3-0

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The No.22 Endicott College men's soccer team scored three times in the second half to defeat the University of New England, 3-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season finale on a rainy Tuesday evening a Blue Storm Stadium.
 
The victory clinches the top spot in the conference for the Gulls who finish at 12-4-4 overall and 7-1-1 in CCC play. UNE wraps the season at 0-16-2 overall and 0-9-0 in conference.
 
The Nor'easters fought hard all night and were able to keep the game scoreless in the first half. Triston O'Hagan made four early saves for UNE.
 
Joe Mepham touched in a goal off quick passes for Max Karkos and Konrad Krysztoforski in the 52nd minute to break the scoreless tie. UNE had a few scoring chances midway through the second half. Luke Gould had a close attempt on a free kick that was saved by Gulls goalkeeper Kyle Rosa in the 60th minute. Ethan Dispoto nearly tied the game in the 79th minute as his shot from just 15 yards out went just high.
 
Endicott scored twice in the final six minutes of action. Jason Brodeur headed in a loose ball in front in the 85th minute. Karkos and Mepham assisted on the goal. Karkos made it 3-0 in the 87th minute with a goal with help from Mepham and Krysztoforski.
 
O'Hagan finished with five saves in the loss. Rosa had three saves for Endicott.
