WENHAM, Mass. – The University of New England and Gordon College played to a 1-1 tie in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer match at the Brigham Athletic Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Nor'easters (7-3-3, 2-0-3 CCC) have three draws by the same score in conference action this season. Gordon now stands at 6-3-3 overall and 1-2-2 in league play.
 
UNE's top point scorers connected for a goal in the third minute as Karley Belisle found Tori Keyes for her sixth tally of the season to give the visitors a 1-0 lead early. The Nor'easters outshot the Fighting Scots 5-1 in the first half.
 
The offenses from both sides got going in the second period as they combined for 17 shots with UNE holding a slim 9-8 advantage in attempts. Gordon tied the game in the 79th minute as shot by Sofia Gish brushed off the fingers of Nor'easter goaltender Ariel Martin and ricochet off the right post into the goal.
 
Martin made four saves for UNE. Emily Bengtson (5) and Tori Paine (1) combined for six saves.
 
The Nor'easters return home for Senior Day on Saturday against Western New England at 12 p.m.
