BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England piled up 33 service aces and 24 kills to make quick work of Lesley University in a 3-0 women's volleyball result (25-6, 25-5, 25-7) on Monday night (Oct. 10) at Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum.
Kailyn Reilly paced the offensive effort for the Nor'easters (5-11) with 11 points, which included a share of the team-high eight aces with
Taressa Szewczyk.
Grace Mueller knocked down a squad-best seven kills on 10 swings, while
Lucy Rushton supported with five kills.
Mina Regnery and
Morgan Lynch dropped in five and four aces, respectively.
Ellijah Hanley, who had four kills, was joined by
Griffin Chaffin-Quiray with another three service aces each.
The attack, which connected at a .500Â clip on the evening, received 11 assists from
Addie Miller and 10 more out of
Emma Chase.
For the Lynx (0-14), Emma Welch recorded the only two points scored, with a kill and an ace.
UNE gets right back to work on Tuesday (7 p.m.) with conference-leading Endicott College visiting the Forum.
