BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England and Bates College played to a 0-0 draw in women's soccer action at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Wednesday evening.
 
Chances were few and far between for each team but shots favored the Bobcats, 10-4 overall and 3-2 on goal.
 
One of the best opportunities for the Nor'easters (4-2-1) came in the first overtime. Bella Reil sent a corner kick into traffic in front of the net leading to a shot by Caroline Meuse that was blocked at close range.
 
Maeve Parmelee nearly put home the winner for Bates (1-2-2) in the closing seconds of the second overtime, but her header went just over the crossbar.
 
Sydney Gillingham had three saves for UNE while Kat Nuckols made two stops for Bates.
 
The Nor'easters are back in action at home on Saturday for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup with Gordon at 2:30 p.m.
