BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Omar Boone led all players with 20 points as Colby-Sawyer College picked up a 76-60 men's basketball result against the University of New England in the mutual season-opener on Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum on Saturday night (Nov. 6).

The Chargers got off to a fast 12-3 start early on, and notched six of the last seven in the 1st half to slip ahead by one (32-31). That run extended to 26-5 in the 2nd, building the lead to 52-35. Scott Lampron had a dozen in the span. The Nor'easters did not go quietly, assembling an 18-4 stretch to close within 62-58 at the 3:43 mark. Just over a minute later, though, Boone canned a triple to provide some breathing room.

In addition to his point total, on 9-of-14 shooting, Boone added eight rebounds for CSC. Lampron tossed in 15 points, and Kevin Cummings contributed 14. Conor Kelly went for 11 points and nine boards.

For UNE, Alex Kravchuk registered 18 points, seven rebounds, and six steals. Ray Evans dropped in 4-of-7 from deep to score 14, and James DeCrisantis tallied nine from behind the arc.

The Nor'easters, who head for the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, connected on just 1-of-22 three-point tries outside of Evans and DeCrisantis.
