CASTINE, Maine -- The University of New England women's swimming team won 12 of 14 events and took down six Bok Pool records in a 169-89 victory at Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 20).

Haley Griffin, Olivia Roy, Katie Durrua, and Annika Doeppers all captured a couple races for the Nor'easters (3-3), while Griffin, Durrua, and Doeppers teamed up with April Falstad to claim both relays. The 400-yard medley group started things off with a 4:33.17 (pool record by 3.00), which included Griffin's 100 backstroke leg of 1:06.18 -- also a pool record, by nearly two seconds.

On her own, Griffin touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke (1:06.77) and the 100 freestyle (59.32). Roy clocked 1:04.99 in the 100 butterfly (pool record by 6.68) and a 1:10.92 in the 100 individual medley. Durrua was tops in the 200 freestyle (2:12.53) and in the 50 butterfly (29.65).

Doeppers edged out Ellie Gellerson of MMA in the 50 breaststroke (35.03; +0.86), and notched a pool record in the 500 freestyle (5:46.78) by 14.22 seconds.

Taylor Gibson got into the mix by winning the 200 backstroke in 2:28.08 -- a margin of 1.59 over the Mariners' Elizaveta Zhukov, and a pool record by 5.86 seconds. Mary Washlick picked up the other solo triumph in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.29), just 1.01 ahead of Gellerson.

The closest race of the day (50 freestyle) was taken by Zhukov in 28.07, a mere 0.11 in front of Falstad.

UNE capped the performance with a 4:07.68 in the 400 freestyle relay (pool record by 11.31).
