BRISTOL, R.I. – Justin Horvath and Javi Beltran each scored twice as Roger Williams University defeated the University of New England, 5-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's soccer action on Saturday.
Horvath tallied his first of the game as he redirected a chip into the box by Austin Hilger past the keeper in the 10
th minute. Jack Wildermann scored and then assisted on a goal by Beltran just 50 seconds later to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Beltran added another goal early in the second half on a show to the low left side of the goal. Horvath made it 5-0 in the 56th minute with his second score of the day. Hilger assisted on the final tally and had three helpers in the game.
The Hawks out-shot UNE 20-1 overall and 11-1 on goal. Tristan O'Hagan (5) and
Ethan Dispoto (1) combined for six saves for the Nor'easters. Hogan Cain made one stop relief of John Padavano in net for Roger Williams.
UNE returns home on Tuesday afternoon against Suffolk at 4 p.m.
