BIDDEFORD, Maine – Nichols College grabbed a 2-0 victory over the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Barbara J. Hazard Field.
 
A hard shot by Nick Cancellaro from the top of the box was stopped by UNE goalkeeper Triston O'Hagan, but he was unable to control it and Colby Knight knocked in the rebound to put the Bison in front in the 19th minute.
 
In the 34th minute, Dawson Quint crossed it in to Miron Jusufi just outside the circle. Jusufi corralled the ball on a bounce and fed it past a diving O'Hagan inside the left post as Nichols went in front 2-0.
 
The Bison held a 15-5 advantage in shots and 9-2 on goal. O'Hagan finished with seven saves. Luke Speers and Franco Barreto Santana (two saves), split the halves in net for Nichols.
 
UNE will close out the season at home on Tuesday night against Salve Regina at 6:30 p.m.
