BANGOR, Maine –  Callum Heaslewood recorded his first career hat trick to lead the University of New England men's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Husson in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Heaslewood struck first in the 25th minute to put the Nor'easters in front 1-0. The Eagles would answer back quickly with a goal by Joao Passoni in the 30th minute to send the game into the half tied at one apiece.

Pablo De La Guardia Criado booted home the first goal of his career, which proved to be the game-winner, off a pass from Lee Esposito in the 60th minute. Heaslewood then put the game out of reach, completing the trick with goals in the 75th and 83rd minutes.

Both teams fired eight shots on the day, but the Nor'easters were on-target with six to just two for Husson.

Will Shearon played nearly all 90 minutes in goal for UNE and made one save. Kyle Townsend stopped two shots for the Eagles.
