FARMINGTON, Maine –
Katie Beaudoin scored just 28 seconds into the match as the University of New England women's soccer team surged past UMaine Farmington 7-0 in a non-conference road matchup on Wednesday afternoon.
Beaudoin finished with two goals and an assist on the day.
Hannah Cottis also added two scores in the victory.
Jessie Maywalt knocked in a goal in the 10th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.
Marie Hoehner and
Emily Simpson each scored to cap a four-goal first half for the Nor'easters.
Cottis continued the onslaught in the second half with tallies in the 49th and 55th minute. Beaudoin closed the scoring with her team-leading fourth goal in the 56th minute.
Jenna Pannone made one first-half save and
Sydney Gillingham stopped all five shots she faced after intermission for the Nor'easters. Callie Hammer and Chelsea Davis each had eight saves for the Beavers.
