LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- University of New England football defensive lineman Will Peters is among the list of nominees for the Cliff Harris Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top small college defensive player. The pool of 164 players from Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions was announced be the selection committee on Monday (Dec. 16).

Peters -- who is one of just 13 first-years up for the seventh edition of the honor -- was a second team pick in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) honors from 2019, in addition to being named the CCC Defensive Rookie of the Year. He totaled 38 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Nor'easters.
