BRISTOL, R.I. – #3 University of New England battled back from an early deficit to defeat #2 Roger Williams, 2-1, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Soccer Semifinals on Wednesday night.

Katie Beaudoin (CCC 1st Team) found Caroline Wilson for the tying goal in the 68th minute. Just 6:51 later, Ashley Sherman booted home the winning goal for the Nor'easters (12-5-2) off another helper by Beaudoin and Delaney Mullen. The second assist was the 100th career point for Beaudoin, becoming just the third Nor'easter in program history to reach the milestone.

The Hawks (13-8-1) took a lead in the 10th minute as Gabbi Rozumek scored her sixth goal of the season. Roger Williams controlled play in the first half as it out-shot UNE 15-5 in the period.

Jenna Pannone (CCC Defensive Player of the Year / 1st Team) was stellar in goal as she made a career-high 13 saves. Morgan Strassburg had four saves in the loss. Total shots on the night were 27-10 in favor of the Hawks, who had defeated the Nor'easters on the road during the regular-season, 2-0.
