BIDDEFORD, Maine – The #3 University of New England women's soccer team rolled to a 2-0 victory over #6 Salve Regina in a Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship First Round matchup at UNE Blue Storm Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Caroline Wilson was tripped up in the box in the 36th minute, leading to a penalty kick opportunity for UNE. Katie Beaudoin (CCC 1st Team) buried the shot for her team-leading 13th goal of the season. [Watch] The Nor'easters dominated possession in the first half and outshot the Seahawks 15-2 in the period.
 
UNE shut the door in the 89th minute as Brianna Cota booted a long pass ahead to Beaudoin, who quickly found Ashley Sherman for an easy goal. [Watch]
 
Shots favored the Nor'easters 21-7 overall. Jenna Pannone (CCC 1st Team) turned away five shots in her fourth shutout of the season. Jenna Park (CCC 3rd Team) made five saves for Salve Regina who finish the season 9-11 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
