WENHAM, Mass. – The Gordon women's soccer team defeated the University of New England 3-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at The Quad in Wenham, Mass.
 
Monet Marshall gave the Scots (8-2-2, 2-1-0 CCC) a lead with just 12 seconds left in the first half off an assist from McKenna Feller. Gordon extended its lead with a goal by Christa Vordenberg 31 seconds into the second half.
 
Bella Christian scored in the 81^st minute to make it 3-0 in favor of the hosts. Alyssa Boilard ended the shutout in the 82^nd minute with her third goal of the season.
 
Gordon outshot UNE 25-12 overall and 14-7 on-goal. Jenna Pannone made 11 saves for the Nor'easters. Kali Denty had six stops for the Scots.
 
The Nor'easters (4-4-2, 0-2-0 CCC) return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8 on the road at Southern Maine at 7 p.m.
