BIDDEFORD, Maine – Max Robbins scored twice for the Endicott men's soccer team as it defeated the University of New England 5-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Robbin connected on a penalty kick goal in the 40th minute after a UNE handball in the box to put the Gulls in front for good. He added his second just minutes later as Endicott led 2-0 at halftime.
Evan Couchot extended the lead to 3-0 with a blast in the 55th minute. Brandon Haughton scored from close range in the 61st minute. William Poreda tallied the final goal for the Gulls off an assist from Couchot in the 78th minute.
Shots favored Endicott 23-12 overall. Zach Regulbuto made four saves in the shutout.
Will Shearon also had four saves for UNE.
Endicott (10-5-2, 5-1-2 CCC) will be the second seed in the CCC Men's Soccer Championship and will host seventh-seed Gordon on Saturday, Nov. 2 at noon. The Nor'easters (7-9-2, 1-7-0 CCC) season has come to a close.
