UNE led 7-3 in the 1st set and 14-9 in the 2nd, but Salve managed to rally in both to gain the edge. However, the hosts turned in an 11-2 spurt in the final frame to establish the ultimate cushion.
The Nor'easters return home to face league-leading Endicott College on Wednesday (7 p.m.).
