BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England women's volleyball team coasted to a 3-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) decision (25-13, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17) against Nichols College on Wednesday night (Oct. 2) at the Harold Alfond Forum.
The Nor'easters continue their longest unbeaten streak in recent history -- one that lasted all of September -- and improve to 12-1 overall. At 3-0 in league matches, UNE is off to its best conference start since 2008.
Katie Flynn paced the victorious attack with 13 kills and added 15 digs.
Molly Camelo went for 12 winners and nine digs in support, while
Stephanie Erickson contributed nine winners and 10 digs.
Sydney Christiansen framed 42 assists, and
Katie Marsh aided the back line with 13 digs.
For the Bison (7-7, 0-3 CCC), Jayleen Fegan and Chardae Saunders tallied seven kills apiece. Fegan and Rachael Veilleux had 16 and 15 digs, respectively, and Veilleux put up 25 assists. Allyson Tuxbury notched 11 digs to go with her match-best three service aces. Megan Gardner totaled six kills and factored in five blocks.
UNE heads for Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday.
