Nor’easters cruise past Golden Bears, 3-0

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Three different players scored as the University of New England women's soccer team defeated Western New England 3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon.
 
The first goal of the day was setup by a long run by Alyssa Boilard into the offensive zone. She passed it ahead to Caroline Wilson, who touched it ahead to Jessie Maywalt for the score. Maywalt has now scored a goal in each of the last four games. [Watch]
 
Delaney Mullen headed in a free kick off the foot of Caroline Meuse to extend the UNE advantage to 2-0 in the 32nd minute. [Watch]
 
Katie Beaudoin added the final goal of the day in the 60th minute as she made a move to get by the keeper and easily put it in the net. [Watch]
 
UNE outshot the Golden Bears 20-10 overall and 10-2 on goal. Jenna Pannone made two saves to earn her second-consecutive shutout. Alexandra Lemekha had seven stops for WNE.
