The 7-0 lead by the Eagles held until midway through the second half when Charles ran in from two yards out to tie the score with 7:54 left before the half. Peters kept the scoring drive alive with a 31-yard run on 3rd-and-7 to put UNE on the Husson 18-yard line. Charles accounted for the rest of the yards on the drive.

Morrison found Robinson again after another long drive by Husson, this time from a yard out, to make the score 14-7 with just 34 seconds remaining in the half. The Eagles attempted an onside kick, but UNE recovered to set themselves up near midfield. The Nor'easters were able to make the most of the field possession as Kevin Heintz booted a 38-yard field goal to trim the deficit to 14-10 at the break.

UNE took its first lead of the game at 17-14 as Peters found Johnson for a 66-yard touchdown with 4:00 left in the third quarter. Nick Scarfo forced a Husson fumble on the next drive, but UNE was unable to capitalize and the score remained after three.

Peters scored on a three-yard rush to begin the fourth quarter, giving the Nor'easters a 24-14 lead. The Eagles answered right back as Morrison found Aidan Hogan for his third TD pass of the day to make the score 24-21 with 7:26 to play.

The Nor'easters were able to use much of the clock with a 10-play, 63-yard drive that took over five minutes. Peters finished it off with a one-yard rushing score to extend the UNE advantage back out to ten at 31-21. Husson drove down to the UNE 27 in the closing seconds, but a sack by Will Peters on fourth down iced the game.
