BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College defeated the University of New England, 3-0, in a non-conference women's soccer matchup on Wednesday.
 
Morgen Gallagher scored twice for the Polar Bears (3-3-1) and began the game with a score in the eighth minute off a pass from Julia Patterson. Lynn Farquhar made the score 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Gallagher sealed the victory with another goal in the 55th minute.
 
Shots were 12-3 in favor of Bowdoin on the afternoon. Emily Ashman made seven saves for the Nor'easters (3-4-1).
 
UNE returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match at Curry. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
