Vanessa Hodge tallied her first-career hat trick as the University of New England women's soccer team cruised past Husson University, 8-1, on Tuesday night at UNE Blue Storm Stadium. The eight goals were the most by the Nor'easters in a single game since 2010.
Caroline Wilson started the scoring for UNE (2-3-1) just 1:26 into the match as she put home a rebound off a shot by
Katie Beaudoin. Beaudoin connected with Wilson once again in the 30th minute to put the Nor'easters in front 2-0

Peighton Barker to the foot of Hodge, who buried it for her first of the game

Husson (1-5) got on the board in the 84th minute as Mackenzie St. Pierre converted on a free kick just outside the box after a Nor'easter handball.
Amanda Gagne got behind the defense and easily scored the final goal for UNE

The Nor'easters held a 21-7 advantage in shots and had 15 corner kicks compared to none for the Eagles.

UNE begins a four-game road trip on Saturday as it returns to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play against Roger Williams University at noon in Bristol, R.I.
