BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England women's soccer team scored early and often as it grabbed its first victory of the year, 5-0, against the University of Maine-Farmington at UNE Blue Storm Stadium on Wednesday night.
Vanessa Hodge got the scoring started in the 14th minute as she rocketed a shot from 30 yards out just over the head of the Beavers' goalkeeper

Caroline Wilson booted home a loose ball in front to put UNE ahead 2-0

Hodge tallied her second of the game, and third of the year, off a turnover in the 16th minute

Peighton Barker continued the onslaught with her first career goal in the 36th minute as she converted on a short cross in front by
Alyssa Boilard to extend the UNE advantage to 4-0 at the half

Taylor Usko for the Nor'easters' final goal

UNE controlled play from the opening whistle and out-shot the Beavers 30-5 overall and 16-4 on goal.
The Nor'easters return to action on Saturday, Sept. 15 at home against Gordon College to open Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
