Alex Zadworny poured in eight goals as the University of New England coasted to a 16-9 men's lacrosse victory over Lasell College on Friday night (Mar. 16) at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.
The performance established a program-record for goals in a game, which had previously stood at seven -- three shared that mark, including senior
Tom Luttrell from back in 2016.
Zadworny had seven scores in the first 33 minutes of action, as the Nor'easters (4-1) rattled off nine straight to take a 12-2 lead.
Garett Bozek added two goals and three assists, while
Mitch Mullin and
Alec Beveridge also scored twice.
Matt Layton went 13-of-19 in face-offs and collected six ground balls, and
Tyler Nevers posted 15 saves between the pipes.
