CLERMONT, Fla. -- The University of New England scored in all five innings to run-rule SUNY Geneseo, 10-2, in softball action Thursday morning (Mar. 15) at the Dot Richardson Spring Games hosted by the U.S. National Training Center.

Sydnee Bessler powered the victory for the Nor'easters (3-4), who had fallen to the Knights (7-2) in the same fashion (by nearly an identical score) earlier in the week. She provided a two-RBI double in the top of the 1st to give UNE a lead it would not relinquish, and then pitched a complete-game with six strikeouts.

Andrea Gosper made it 3-0 in the 1st with an RBI-single, and added a two-RBI double in the 4th for an 8-2 advantage. Meg Harvey made good use of her lone hit in the 2nd, driving in two for a 5-1 cushion. Caty Flagg plated the final run for UNE with a single in the 5th.

Avery Alberghini and Anna Sessa joined Bessler, Gosper, and Flagg with two hits. Alberghini, Harvey, Bessler, and Sessa each touched home on two occasions.

Taylor Fedor had an RBI-single for Geneseo in the bottom of the 1st frame. An unearned run cut it to 6-2 in the 3rd stanza.

Nicole Schwartz took the loss for the Knights, who were hampered by five fielding errors.
