WATERVILLE, Maine – Colby College broke a scoreless tie in the 85th minute to capture a 1-0 victory over the University of New England in women's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

Catherine Fraser connected in the box with Hallie Schwartzman who finished to the left side to give the Mules (4-4) the non-conference victory.

The Nor'easters (4-5-1) held a slim 10-9 advantage in shots on goal, but were out-shot 18-12 overall.

Emily Ashman made eight saves for the Nor'easters. Shannon Gray and Dani Lonati combined for nine stops in the shutout.

UNE is back in action on Saturday at home against Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Salve Regina University. Kickoff at Barbara J. Hazard Field is set for 3:30 p.m.
