BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College women's soccer team picked up a 3-1 victory over the University of New England on Wednesday afternoon to remain in first place in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) standings with just a week remaining in the regular season.
 
The Gulls (8-4-4, 5-1-1 CCC) took a 1-0 lead into halftime as Gabriella Prisco found Jillian Presser for a one-timer in the 30th minute.
 
Jessie Maywalt would tie the score for UNE (6-7-1, 4-2-0 CCC) in the 64th minute with a blast to top left off a touch from 
Katie Beaudoin. Endicott quickly when Madeline Cheney made the most of a failed clear by the Nor'easters for her fourth goal of the year. Catherin Elkas spilt the UNE defenders in the 81st minute for a late tally.
 
Jenna Pannone made eight saves on the day, but suffered her first loss of the season. Endicott held a 22-9 advantage in shots.
 
UNE will visit Western New England on Saturday, Oct. 20 for its final road game of the year. Kickoff in Springfield, Mass. is set for 2:30 p.m.
