BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Five different players scored for the University of New England in a 5-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer victory over Nichols College on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 13) at Barbara J. Hazard Field.

The sides played 34 minutes of a scoreless contest before the Nor'easters (6-6-1, 4-1-0 CCC) notched two in a span of 23 seconds. First it was Caroline Wilson from Katie Beaudoin, and then Elizabeth Sullivan scored on a feed from Kat Buscemi. Peighton Barker made the margin three at the break with an unassisted tally.

Erica Dimmick and Delaney Mullen added 2nd-half goals with the assistance of Ashley Sherman and Katie LaMarre, respectively, to cap the day's scoring.

Emily Ashman denied the two Nichols tries that came on-target to earn the goalkeeping shutout for UNE, which amassed a 28-5 edge in shot attempts.

The Bison (3-10-1, 0-5-0 CCC) received nine stops over 72 minutes from Brooke Downey, before Olivia Marcantonio made three saves the rest of the way.

The Nor'easters visit league-leading Endicott College on Wednesday (4 p.m.).
