GORHAM, Maine -- Molly Camelo and Paige Simoneau combined for 23 kills to lead the University of New England in a 3-1 women's volleyball result (25-20, 16-25, 25-21, 25-19) against Saint Joseph's College (Maine) on Saturday afternoon (Sep. 2) at Hill Gymnasium on the campus of the University of Southern Maine.

Rene Roggenbuck and Micaela McNamara added seven winners apiece for the Nor'easters (1-1), who were supported by Kristen Falcinelli and Sydney Christiansen with 23 and 21 assists, respectively. Defensively, Katie Marsh had 15 digs and both Falcinelli and Simoneau recorded 10.

For the Monks (1-2), Chatham Mills totaled 13 kills and Kelsey Bickford registered 10 more. Sarah Dyer put up 33 assists and Jennelle Thompson delivered a match-high 19 digs.

UNE is set to open its home slate on Thursday (7 p.m.) when Emerson College comes into town.
