WATERVILLE, Maine -- Paige Hanssen amassed 20 kills to lead Colby College in a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-13, 25-19) over the University of New England in women's volleyball action Tuesday night (Sep. 12) at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

The Mules (1-3) also received nine winners from Elizabeth Middlebrook, with a combined 30 assists out of Molly Manuel and Emily Moslener. Erin Maidman guided the defensive effort with 15 digs, while Moslener and Hanssen went for 10 and nine, respectively.

For the Nor'easters (2-7), Molly Camelo turned in seven kills. Katie Marsh posted a match-best 17 digs.

The visitors had a 19-18 edge in the 1st set, but five unanswered points by Colby reversed the momentum. Things were back close again (21-18) in the 3rd until Hanssen provided some separation with back-to-back put-downs.

UNE returns to the court on Thursday (7 p.m.) in Biddeford against Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
