BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England head football coach Mike Lichten has announced the program's inaugural roster, which will start gaining competitive experience in a pre-varsity schedule on Saturday, September 2.

Combining talent originating from 13 different states, the majority of the 71-man lineup features players out of Maine (18), Massachusetts (15), Connecticut (10), and New Hampshire (10).

Lichten's staff, which includes defensive coordinator Kenny Treschitta, offensive coordinator Ed Argast, special teams coordinator Pete Byron, and assistant coaches Connor Duhaime, Brett Guminsky, Liam Hobbins, and Tanner Robinson, will prepare the squad for a full varsity schedule and membership in Commonwealth Coast Football in 2018.
