POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A balanced attack with a .404 hitting percentage powered the University of New England to a 3-0 victory over Purchase College (N.Y.) in women's volleyball action Saturday morning (Sep. 10) at the Vassar College Invitational. Set scores were 25-10, 25-8, and 25-9.

Erika Sawicki and Paige Simoneau led the effort for the Nor'easters (3-3) with five kills each, and Erica Doubleday recorded 11 assists. Katie Flynn dropped in seven of UNE's 19 aces, to go with four kills and four digs. Kristen Falcinelli and Casey Davies contributed five and four service winners, respectively.

For the Panthers (0-4), Kaitlyn Pillig had four kills.
