Eight-goal 4th gives UNE 11-2 win over Ferrum

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The University of New England men's lacrosse team exploded for eight goals in the fourth quarter to pull away for an 11-2 victory over Ferrum College in a neutral-site game played at historic Franklin Field Saturday morning (March 19).

With their second consecutive victory, the Nor'easters get back to the .500 mark at 4-4, while the Panthers drop to 4-5.

Tom Luttrell scored a game-high four goals to pace UNE. Alex Zadworny notched a pair, and Mitch Mullin, Dan Auger, Connor Leggett, Phil Young and Remy Watt had a marker apiece to round out the Nor'easters' scoring. Auger dished out three assists to push his team-high total to 13 on the season.

CJ Asmus and Frank Boxley each found the back of the cage to account for the Panthers' offensive output.

John Dusel (6 saves) and David Pearson (13 saves) split time in goal for the Nor'easters. Zach Bell had 20 stops for Ferrum.

The Nor'easters will return to action next Saturday (March 19) when they host the University of Southern Maine at noon.
