BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England and Wentworth Institute of Technology played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer action Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 25) at Barbara J. Hazard Field.

The contest was the final regular-season match for both squads. Wentworth (12-3-3, 7-0-2 CCC) remained unbeaten in conference play and will be seeded No. 2 when the CCC Championship gets underway. The Nor'easters, who will be seeded fourth, will take a 9-5-2 mark (5-2-2 CCC) into their quarterfinal-round match.

Goalkeeper Brielle Robinson played a significant role in keeping the Leopards off the scoreboard, piling up a career-best 17 saves on Wentworth's 34 shots. She made a sprawling stop of an offering by Mary Annon in the 60th minute and would later come off her line to deny Emily Richard with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

UNE's best scoring opportunity came in the opening minute of the second overtime period, but Wentworth keeper Micaela Robinson made a stop of an Edie Pallozzi shot from inside the box. Robinson finished with five saves.

The official pairings and complete tournament schedule for the CCC Championship are slated to be released later this evening, pending the completion of the Curry/Eastern Nazarene match (9:30 p.m. start).
