BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Endicott College scored four goals on five 1st-half shots, leading to a 6-0 decision against the University of New England in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener for both men's soccer programs on Saturday afternoon (Sep. 12) at Barbara J. Hazard Field.

The Gulls (2-1-1, 1-0 CCC) received a pair of tallies from Abdulla Al Khalifa in the opening period, coming just 2:25 apart to increase the margin to 3-0 in the 30th minute.
 
Diego Maillo started the scoring in the 14th minute, and Marc Deleppo capped the initial 45 with a marker in the 38th minute. Diego Slobotzky (52nd) and Jake Lambert (88th) contributed to the final result with goals in the 2nd frame.

Nick Weinstein needed to make just one save for Endicott, which visits Lasell College on Tuesday (4 p.m.) in non-league action.

For the Nor'easters (1-3, 0-1 CCC), Jake Rostkowski made two stops in 53 minutes of relief work following starter Elijah Leverett.

UNE also returns to the pitch on Tuesday (4 p.m.) with a road contest against the University of Maine Farmington.
