BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Colby Drost posted 32 saves for the University of New England and Jamie Murray logged 19 stops for No. 8 Babson College in a 0-0 overtime draw in ECAC East League men's ice hockey action Friday evening (Feb. 6) at the Harold Alfond Forum.

Unbeaten in their last three outings (2-0-1), the Nor'easters move to 8-11-2 overall and 6-7-2 in conference matches. The Beavers now stand at 15-4-3 on the year, 10-3-2 in ECAC East dates.

Play was back-and-forth throughout, with Babson simply putting more chances on-target. Over the first 40 minutes, the visitors held a 21-10 cushion in shots, but could not solve Drost in the UNE cage.

Neither side converted on one of the five combined power plays during regulation, sending the game into an extra session. Both teams recorded four shots-on-goal in overtime, with Murray denying the most threatening attempt to keep things level -- a point-blank, one-timer from UNE's Nick Wirth on the left doorstep with 26.3 seconds remaining.

The shutout for Drost was his fourth of the season; for Murray, his fifth.

Big Blue hosts the nation's 9th-ranked squad, the University of Massachusetts Boston (13-2-0 ECAC East), on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Beavers head to face the University of Southern Maine (2-12-0 ECAC East) at the same time.
